To provide more eco-friendly options to construction industry professionals, John Deere is showcasing a wide array of sustainability-focused machines and technology at CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2023. The event takes place between March 14 and March 18 in Las Vegas, Nev., and John Deere will be at Booth S5020 (outside) and Booth W40844 (inside) throughout the conference.

Some of the products being displayed at the event include the John Deere 744 X-Tier wheel loader and John Deere 850 X-Tier dozer. The dozer features several operating modes to reduce fuel consumption while accommodating various construction site needs. Similarly, the 744 X-Tier wheel loader has an electric variable transmission to boost performance while increasing fuel efficiency. These are just two of many John Deere machines that are paving the way for more sustainability across the construction industry.

"As we continue to introduce battery-electric and electric-hybrid solutions to the market, we aren't just designing a new way to fuel your fleet,” said Ryan Campbell, President of Worldwide Construction & Forestry and Power Systems. “We're also focusing on building an electric infrastructure through innovative and forward-thinking technology. That means expanding our efforts to provide customers with optimal dealer support, job site data, and charging solutions aimed to increase the electric presence in the construction space around the world."

John Deere originally began its electrification and hybrid evolution back in 2013 with the introduction of the 644K hybrid wheel loader, which is now known as the John Deere 644 X-Tier. This model features E-Drive which allows operators to use electricity to power the machine.

"By 2026, John Deere aims to offer its customers a variety of electric construction equipment solutions, including 20+ electric and hybrid models, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the construction industry, starting with the nine electric or hybrid electric John Deere and Wirtgen Group machines on display at this year's CONEXPO/CON-AGG," Campbell continued.
