To cater to the needs of logging contractors in need of machinery with ample power, John Deere has introduced the 2956G crawler log loader. This equipment is designed to maintain a machine weight of less than 90,000 pounds while easing the transportation process. The shipping width of the John Deere 2956G is also less than 11’6” in size.

Because of this crawler log loader’s reduced weight and width, logging contractors can save on transportation costs. Additionally, the new mounting of the log deflector is designed to provide extra strength to the right-front corner of the machine. The newly designed hood profile, which is aligned with a counterweight, increases debris shedding.

"We are always listening to customer feedback to bring ideal solutions and technologies to the forestry industry," said Jarvis de Groot, global product marketing manager for forestry swing machines at John Deere. "The new 2956G crawler log loader machine not only provides optimal power and hydraulic capabilities but is still easy to transport due to its excellent width and weight combination."

The John Deere 2956G has a Waratah 624 head, supported by the machine’s engine power and hydraulic flow. The front corner log deflector has been relocated to the back of the machine to provide more visibility for the operator. The rearview camera, JDLink TM antennas, and light have also been integrated into the counterweight.

When it comes time to service the John Deere 2956G, all of the key service points are strategically located at easy access points. This means that tasks such as filter changes can be completed quickly and efficiently.
