The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has announced the winners of its 2022 AE50 Awards, which included John Deere. The company received eight awards for outstanding innovations, including the See & Spray™ Select.

MY22 9 Series Tractors, Integrated ExactRate™ Liquid Fertilizer System, 1775NT Planter, Quick Change Blades for ProSeries™ Openers, HDF Hinged Frame Flexible Cutterbar Draper, W200 Series Self-Propelled Windrowers and Platforms, and C770 Cotton Harvesters.

Each year, the ASABE gives out 50 awards to honor innovative product-engineering designs across the food and agricultural industry. Those who receive the award are recognized for their efforts to bring new technology to farmers and food processors. The award-winning See & Spray Select, for example, allows farmers to spot spray weeds across fallow ground, while the John Deere 9 Series Tractors help producers work in tight seeding and planting windows. The ExactRate liquid fertilizer system can cover up to 80 acres per fill when applying at 20 gallons per acre, maximizing productivity and efficiency out in the field.

Thanks to the 1775NT Planter, producers have been able to reduce soil compaction while boosting productivity on the job. Deere’s HDF Drapers are making it easier for farmers to recover more crop, and the Quick Change Blades for the ProSeries Openers are reducing maintenance costs. The W200 Series Self-Propelled Windrowers have helped producers maximize windrowing efficiency with every pass, while the C770 Cotton Harvesters have boosted productivity and efficiency across the board for cotton producers.

“AE50 Awards reaffirm the innovative spirit of John Deere employees around the world,” said Joel Dawson, manager, production and precision ag for John Deere.
